The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) concluded an exhaustive 9.5-hour search at the residence of Firhad Hakim, a prominent political figure and Minister in the WB government. The raid, which commenced early in the morning, finally came to an end at approximately 6:00 P.M.
Hakim in a press conference expressed his frustration, stating that his only offense is his refusal to align with the BJP. He also mentioned that today, he was averted from attending a death anniversary . He emphasized that he has not engaged in any corrupt activities or accepted money from contractors or developers. He criticized the BJP, referring to it as a party of lesser integrity and questioned the public whether they think he was a thief.
Sujan Bikas Bhattacharya revealed that the CBI had not seized anything from his residence. He mentioned that the CBI is merely following orders and is not to blame. Despite facing intimidation, he affirmed his decision not to join the BJP and questioned whether he should be labeled as a criminal.
